UFC News: Conor McGregor launches blistering rant, GSP gives huge comeback update
Conor McGregor takes aim at rivals
UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has launched blistering attacks on Max Holloway and Tony Ferguson.
Upon seeing Holloway send a message of support to Frankie Edgar, McGregor slammed the Hawaiian for withdrawing from UFC 222.
He tweeted: “You bounced kid, leave it.”
And less than a minute later, he took aim at Ferguson, saying: “You’re a sad b*****d, mate.”
Holloway quickly fired back at McGregor, tweeting: “Oh we talking bout bouncing now?. Don’t like my tweet? Your coach did.
“Go ask him why. Maybe you’ll find what you lost.”
Georges St-Pierre gives update on his future
Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre hasn’t decided if he’ll retire from mixed martial arts.
“I haven’t closed the door (on my career) St-Pierre said during an appearance on The MMA Hour.
“And also, I will have to think about what weight (I return at), at 185, 170, 155, what would be the weight. I’ve won the title at 170 many times.
“Doesn’t mean I cannot go back and try to go for the title, but for me, now that I’m at the end of my career, if I do something, it needs to be something that excites me, something that is a win-win situation that can elevate me.
“I’ve said it many times. I know I repeat myself, but it’s the truth.”
Brian Ortega discusses his next fight
Brian Ortega has revealed that the UFC have offered him a fight with featherweight king Holloway.
“I am getting the shot for Holloway. I just got off the phone with Dana White,” Ortega said during an appearance on the UFC Unfiltered podcast.
“He said I’m positively, 100 percent getting a shot.
“I’m still cheesing up and smiling right now. It’s so surreal, but I’m not celebrating until I get that belt, you know?
“I’m staying with my blinders on and work ethic still in.”
