Its happening! Mayweather vs McGregor 2

Can Floyd “Money” Mayweather possibly be making a UFC debut?

A video has gone viral showing Mayweather stepping into a mixed martial arts cage. Well, it is too early to comment on this but from the looks, it appears so. Floyd Mayweather could be seen pacing up and down as if he were part of an actual bout.

His opponent last August, Conor McGregor an Octagon regular was quick to take note and went to Twitter saying “Hahahaha very good. Keep up the good work my son. Yours sincerely, Senior.” Not to get your hopes up (in the case, bout doesn’t actually happen) but imagine why sudden interest by the opponent *raises eyebrow*.

A possible tease for a re-match, perhaps?

It could be a re-match, many would have expected. It is only fair to provide McGregor with a shot in his own ring advantage i.e. Octagon. Since the first time around, it was a boxing ring which favoured Mayweather.

After the tweet, obviously, Mayweather wasn’t going to hold back. They both exchanged fiery tweets from that point forward.

His exact words were “I can do a three- or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, and you m************ love me, and I love you m************.”However, McGregor had the final word. He posted a picture of his along with his son and the caption read “f*** the Mayweathers”. Now, this wasn’t just the outcome of Mayweather’s video but also due to his earlier claim stating that he was approached by the UFC first for a potential MMA bout.

Final thoughts

Mayweather is currently 40 and he only came out of retirement to fight McGregor. But having defeated his opponent, the former went back into retirement. His record stands at 50-0; 50 wins, 0 losses.

Meanwhile, the fiery exchanges continued to happen on social media but McGregor vowed the result would be not so pleasant in and we quote “true fight”. Mayweather being Mayweather, wanted this showdown to happen so as to weigh in on the public opinion for the re-match.

We believe he may have achieved his objective. No doubt the uptake in public, especially fan theories would be off the charts! Did you know how this fuss started out in the first place? Mayweather tweeted a picture a day prior to the video which read, “#MCM, Mayweather Crushes McGregor”.
